B R E A K F A S T P L A C E S right in the village - less than 10 minutes to walk
Allechante (in town) – 61 Central St - 802-457-3300, “Italian Bakery”, breakfast, great sandwiches.,breakfast and lunch only.
· 4 minutes walk - Rte 4 towards East; it is on the right side after High Street, large sign.
Mountain Creamery (in town) 33 Central St – 802-457-1715 – American Breakfast and lunch
· 4 mitues walk - Rte 4 towards East; it is on the right side in the last brick building before the river crosses
WASP (in town) - a very small breakfast place, country style – sit at the counter and your neighbor will be a true Vermonter!
· 15 minutes walk - Route 4 towards the gas stations after Max’ grocery store, on the right side! Small yellow house
Woodstock Inn (in town) – 14 The Green– 457-1100 - Woodstock’s first class hotel – daily; The Red Rooster: lunch, dinner, Richardson’s tavern: casual, Main Dining Room: breakfast, dinner

I N T O W N L U N C H a n d DI NN E R P L A C E S Bentley’s (in town)– Elm Street, 802-457-3232 – all week, 11.30am – 9.00 pm, weekends longer, casual pub style lunch and dinner, bar - turns in a dance club late Friday & Saturday night (10 pm). · Walk 3 minutes Route 4 East to Elm St on your left; entrance at corner of Elm Street on your right.
Prince and the Pauper (in town) – 24 Elm Street – 802-457-1818 – Mon-Thurs+ Su 6-9pm, Fri- Sat 6- 9:30 reservations required! Upscale formal dining; local ingredients; dinner only, no shorts!
· Walk 4 minutes Route 4 East; turn left at Elm St, pass Gillingham’s on your right pass the butcher, look for sign and “historical society”, enter restaurant from the side alley..
EastEnder (in town) - 442 Woodstock Road – 802-457-9800 - Fr & Sa 5-9.30 pm Tues –Thurs +Sun 5-9.00pm We Burgers and margaritas night, casual Vermont dining; dinner only.
· 2 minutes drive towards the 3 gas- stations on Route 4; shortly after passing the fire station, when speed limit turns to 35 mph look for a big sign, on top “Gallery Place” and turn right in to parking lot. Closed on Mondays!
Sevi’s (in town) – 71 Central St – 802-332-6401 – new opened pub & grill – casual. Dining – salads, steaks, seafood and more.
· 8 minutes walk on the right side
Angkor Wat (in town) 61 Pleasant St -802 457-9029 – Mon – Sat 11.00 - 9.00 pm – lunch, dinner, take out – Asian Cuisine
· Drive 2 minutes East, it is on your right side before you arrive the gas stations
White Cottage Snack Bar (in town) – 462 Woodstock Road – 802-457-3455 - Snack Bar, specialty ice cream, seafood and more, open 10-9 pm all days; this is the local “drive –in”. Closed after mid October?
· 3 minutes drive towards Killington about 1 mile on Route 4 on the left hand side, first house with big gravel parking lot and large sign.
Red Rooster (in town – at the Woodstock Inn) – 14 The Green – 457-1100 - Newly remodeled
Woodstock Inn restaurant serves American cuisine, upscale dining in “modern Vermont” atmosphere. Lunch daily 12-4 pm, dinner 4-10 pm
· At the Green.
Osteria Pane E Salute (in town)61 Central St upstairs – 802-457-4882 – dinner only, upscale dining with great wine selection and food made from local ingredients - call first
· Walk 6 minutes Rte 4 East; it is on the right side in the Allechante house upstairs.

Mangowood Restaurant (in town) – Rte 4 West – 802-457-3312- a touch of Asian cuisine dining, bar, only dinner. Reservations! Tues-Sat 6-9.00 pm. – call first!
· 6 minutes drive: Go Route 4 towards Rutland, pass the Green, the Farmers market and the Pond Rich Motel on your left and leave Woodstock. You pass the hardware store True Value on your left. MangowoodRestaurant is located just past the hardware store and a corn field on your left. There is one entrance immediately after the corn field and before the restaurant. There is another entrance just after the restaurant but before the Mangowood sign.
Simon Pierce Restaurant (Quechee) - 1760 Quechee Main St – 802-295-2711 – Lunch daily 11.30 – 2.45 pm (no reservations; dinner 6-9 pm) . Elegant facility with reasonable prices, lunch and dinner. You can also visit the store, pottery, a still working private electrical turbine as well as glassblowing workers
· 15 minutes drive on Rte 4 towards I-91 / I-89; at the second blinking light turn left (left is Fire Stone Restaurant) pass the covered bridge and bear left at the STOP sign. Don’t miss the drive way to Simon Pierce parking after about 200 yards on the left side.
Firestones (Quechee) Rte 4 /Waterman Place – 802-295-1600 – dining in a country style restaurant, wood fire stove, casual
· 10 minutes drive on Rte 4 towards I-91 / I-89; when you see the second blinking light it’s on your left hand side just before the light.
Barnard Inn (Max’sTavern) in Barnard– Rte 12 in Barnard Main St – 802-234-9961 – casual dining in rustically furnished tavern, bar; reservations needed; dinner only, a local insider tip.
· 15 minutes drive Rte 12 to Barnard. Bear right out of the parking lot, after 70 yards go straight, , when route 4 bears left; drive to the end of the road and turn right on to Route 12. Watch for a split and follow Route 12 (do not go to Pomfret!). In Barnard you see the Barnard Inn sign on the right, turn in to the parking lot and enter the tavern from the back of the building.
Quechee Inn (at Marshland Farm Quechee) – 119 Quechee Main St. - 802-295-3133 – Country dining in a cozy atmosphere. Dinner only.
· 15 minutes drive on Rte 4 towards I-91 / I-89; at the second blinking light turn left (left is Fire Stone Restaurant) pass the covered bridge and bear right at the STOP sign. Go straight when the next Stop sign appears. After that look for the sign on your left after about 1/2 mile.
Keeper’s Café (Route 106 towards Reading) – 3685 Route 106 Reading - 802-484-9090 –
Closed Su + Mo!
· Drive 20 mile about 25 minutes drive, start towards the Green, circle the Green until you turn right on tom Route 106. Go straight, pass through South Woodstock, and keep going on Route 106 about 7-8 minutes until you see the restaurant on the right side.
Skunk Hollow Tavern (Hartland 4 Corners) - 802-436-2139 – Wednesday to Sunday 5 pm to closing, Friday live music. Downstairs rustically furnished tavern, upstairs fine restaurant.
· 15 -20 minutes drive. Go towards the 3 gas stations, follow Route 4 until the first blinking light ( about7 minutes), turn right on Route 12, follow road until Hartland Four Corners. Turn right on to Hartland-Brownsville Road (church on right) After about 1-2 hundred yards the restaurant is on your right side. The sign is a little bit hidden by trees. | |||||||
